Mr. Doctor Reading

La Jolla Playhouse artist-in-residence BD Wong partnered with the MFA program at SDSU and presented readings of his new musical Mr. Doctor. With music and lyrics by the brilliant Wayne Barker and a book and direction by BD Wong, Jessica was honored to play the role of Abrasha/Amal in the readings. The story of the musical centers around the true story of a play called “The Post Office” that was staged and performed by children in the Warsaw ghettos before they were taken to concentration camps. The show was originally created and workshopped for Rosie’s Theatre Kids in New York City.
