OFFICIAL BIOGRAPHY
Jessica Humphrey is a performer, educator and podcast host. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Theatre Department at Texas Christian University.
Her theatrical credits include shows at many prominent theatres around the country including Connecticut Repertory Theatre, LAMBS Players (San Diego), Casa Manana, and even The Atwood Concert Hall in Anchorage, Alaska. Additionally, she has been the voice behind many commercials such as DreamWorks Trolls Camp Critter Playset and Femiclear.
She also uses her vocal talents as the host for two podcasts. Her podcast, Tannins and Tunes, pairs wines with Broadway shows and includes interviews with Broadway guests. The Nectar Series, a podcast by Calliope Stage and co-hosted with Ashlee Wasmund, collects stories from the people that make up Jackson County, North Carolina in an effort to nurture a collective sense of self.
Jessica received her Bachelors of Music in Musical Theatre from Western Carolina University and her Masters of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from San Diego State University. She serves as the current co-Vice President of Conferences for the Musical Theatre Educators Alliance and is on the Education Committee for Calliope Stage.
Outside of her career, Jessica continues to build upon her WSET Level 2 Certification in Wine and Spirits by studying wine whenever and wherever possible.
